The History:

Cemaes Bay is a Britain in Bloom Finalist.
Cemaes Bay represents Wales in Britain in Bloom organised by the RHS in conjunction with Shredded Wheat.

Historically, it all started in Cemaes with a local competition organised by the Cemaes Bay Trade and Tourism Association to beautify the village with competitions for best garden, best hanging basket, best planter etc. This expanded to include classes for children with gardens in a box and this year for best scarecrow dressed as a pirate or smuggler.

We entered Neighbourhood in Bloom, a non competitive pilot scheme organised by Wales in Bloom and were persuaded that we were good enough to enter the main Wales in Bloom Competition.

2007 Silver Gilt Medal Winners.
We won the village class and were invited to represent Wales in Small Coastal Class of Britain in Bloom.

2006 Silver Medal, 3rd place.

2005 Certificate of Merit.
