Cemaes Bay has two sandy beaches Traeth Mawr - Big Beach and Traeth Bach - Little Beach which are separated by a natural stone harbour that looks to the Irish Sea.

Traeth Mawr  

Has a large expanse of sand at low tide and many rock pools and a cave to discover.  The sheltered, gently sloping sandy beach is framed with glorious Pre-Cambrian geology.  The Beach Cafe on the  main car park serves everything you need for a great day out on the beach.

There is good access to beach, a promenade spans the beach with plenty of seating, seasonal dog ban, public toilets, refreshments, car parking.  Water skiing, jet skis and speedboats are not allowed close to shore.  No dangerous currents.

Traeth Bach

At low tide there is plenty of soft sand and shingle with rocks and a small pier Penrhyn side.  At high tide there is a little beach but you can still discover Samson’s Rock which is steeped in village folklore.  There is limited parking and a seasonal dog ban.
